Supporting the AIG APAC insurance business, working as a member of the APAC actuarial team to drive reserving transformation and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic initiatives
Modernize local regulatory reporting processes for AIG's Australia and New Zealand offices through automation and data integration
Quarterly valuation, solvency calculations and IFRS 17 disclosures
Coordinate and streamline US GAAP quarterly management reporting requirements with the regional tower leads
Assist in supporting strategic portfolio reviews and deep dive analyses of certain business segments within APAC
Review of capital projections and investment strategies including ALM (“Asset Liability Matching)
Provide support to the budget loss ratio exercise and annual financial planning
Assist in other ad-hoc analyses as required
Requirements
General Insurance reserving experience preferred in long tail lines
Working knowledge of typical actuarial reserving software
Technical proficiency in R, Python, and/or SQL for data analysis, transformation, and automation
Working knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools, particularly Power BI and workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, RPA platforms, or similar automation technologies
Ability to identify manual processes and design automated solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with focus on process improvement and scalability
Effective project & time management and strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work as part of a team as well as take responsibility for individual contribution
