About this role
Role Overview
- Responsible for the supervision, assignments, and daily operations
- Enforcing standards of practice and policies and procedures within the Sterile Services Department
- Assist the educator with new employee orientation, competency review, instrument evaluation and tray standardization
- Communicates routinely with leadership in areas serviced and troubleshoots daily activity to provide efficient, quality customer service
- Plan, evaluate and prioritize workflow without specific instructions
- Assign work and give specific instructions based on policy/procedure, clinical activity, patient census and direction from department manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Plus Four (4) years of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technical experience
- Two (2) years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST) IAHCSMM/CBSPD Certified required after 1 year.
- Ability to Follow Oral Instructions, Read, and Write.
