As a Solutions Engineering your key area of responsibility will be involved in the development and customization of solutions using Geotab’s open platform to meet unique requirements, support partners and customers to overcome their business challenges, drive Geotab’s strategies, develop tools and educational content, and help identify gaps in the product ecosystem.
You will need to work closely with a variety of stakeholders within our sales channels, customer care, product management and other solutions engineering teams.
To be successful in this role you will be a customer-focused professional with strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
In addition, the successful candidate will have effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a desire to stay relevant with emerging technology while adapting to growing market demands.
Requirements

5 years of previous experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Engineering Support, Software Development, Automotive Engineering, Data Science, Technical Account Management, or Business Development.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience).
Technical knowledge and understanding of telematics, IoT, APIs, and related technologies, with experience in a relevant technical field like software engineering, data analysis, or systems integration.
Experience with programming languages (such as Python, SQL, Java, or C#) and API integrations is a benefit; familiarity with tools like JIRA, Salesforce, Superset, or Power BI is preferred.
Strong collaborative and cross-functional skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside sales, product development, and customer support teams.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel, and possession of a valid passport.
