Role Overview
- Support the month-end close process for multiple Medicaid plans
- Prepare journal entries using data extracted from the data warehouse
- Record, analyze, and report accounting transactions
- Administer designated provider and vendor payment processes
- Provide financial support through forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis
- Present financial results, insights, and important variance explanations
- Support State reporting requirements, audit inquiries, and market needs
- Support IT-related projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a finance-related area
- 3 or more years of experience in accounting, finance, or as an IT programmer
- Prior SQL or coding experience (preferred)
- Health insurance or Medicaid experience (preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active pursuit of CPA certification (preferred)
