Role Overview
- Draft, review and negotiate complex client, partner and other commercial agreements.
- Provide counsel on new product development and strategic initiatives.
- Actively engage with subject matter specialists regarding finance, audit, tax, IT, regulatory, privacy and technology matters that affect the business division.
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and applicable laws and regulations affecting the operations of the Merchant Solutions division.
- Develop and maintain forms of contracts and other legal documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of general transactional legal experience
- License to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction and in good standing, with ability to obtain any additional required licensure promptly upon hire
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
