About this role
Role Overview
Perform some cleaning activities as needed to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility;
Address minor fixes, including repairing broken locks, repairing and painting walls and other basic skills;
Inspect electrical panels and wiring to identify issues and ensure safety;
Supervise contractors when on site;
Complete reports in a timely manner;
Install, maintain and repair appliances and equipment;
Perform outdoor maintenance on lighting, parking lots and grounds;
Replace light housings and electrical fixtures;
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems;
Perform routine maintenance on compressors, HVAC, automated machinery and mobile equipment;
Check the functionality of safety systems, including fire alarms;
Collaborate with other team members and professionals during renovations;
Create material lists and requisitions of upcoming projects and repairs;
Attend online and offsite equipment and safety training as needed.
Requirements
Basic knowledge of mechanical tools;
Basic knowledge of any of the following: HVAC, plumbing, air compressors and electrical systems;
Ability to use hand tools and meters effectively;
Must be able to read and work from technical manuals and drawings;
Good communication and interpersonal skills;
Physical stamina and manual dexterity;
Must be able to climb ladders and work comfortably at heights up to 40 feet;
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Graduate of a technical or vocational school/college; Completion of OSHA’s 10-hour general industry safety training; Drafting or welding experience; Small engine repair or hydraulics or pneumatics training; Manlift, Scissorlift and/or forklift operation.
