Role Overview
- Develop and implement effective and efficient supply chain strategies for complex capital projects and divisional portfolios
- Ensure material availability and on-time delivery across all project phases
- Manage supplier relationships and risk throughout the supply chain
- Collaborate closely and pro-active with project management, engineering, and global SCM structures
- Drive strategic sourcing, bundling initiatives, and continuous improvement
- Implement ESG requirements and ensure compliance within the supply chain
- Oversee contract negotiations and claim management in coordination with Legal and project teams
- Drive digitalization and automation across supply chain processes to improve transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making
- Promote harmonization of supply chain processes across divisions and projects to ensure consistency and scalability
- Implement international best practices in strategic sourcing, supplier risk management, and KPI-driven performance monitoring
- Benchmark supply chain performance against global standards to identify improvement opportunities and ensure operational excellence
- Support the development of resilient and agile supply networks capable of responding to global disruptions and market dynamics
- Act as interface between the procurement department and the division
Requirements
- University degree in business, engineering, or equivalent
- Strong project experience in plant engineering (Anlagenbau) and complex capital projects
- Six Sigma Green-/Blackbelt beneficial
- Several years of experience in supply chain management, ideally in an international industrial environment
- Expertise in demand planning, procurement, logistics, and supplier management
- Strategic thinking and ability to align supply chain with business objectives
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent English skills; German and additional languages are an advantage
- Proficiency in SAP and common SCM tools
- Willingness to travel (40%)
