About this role
Role Overview
Develop and implement effective and efficient supply chain strategies for complex capital projects and divisional portfolios
Ensure material availability and on-time delivery across all project phases
Manage supplier relationships and risk throughout the supply chain
Collaborate closely and pro-active with project management, engineering, and global SCM structures
Drive strategic sourcing, bundling initiatives, and continuous improvement
Implement ESG requirements and ensure compliance within the supply chain
Oversee contract negotiations and claim management in coordination with Legal and project teams
Drive digitalization and automation across supply chain processes to improve transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making
Promote harmonization of supply chain processes across divisions and projects to ensure consistency and scalability
Implement international best practices in strategic sourcing, supplier risk management, and KPI-driven performance monitoring
Benchmark supply chain performance against global standards to identify improvement opportunities and ensure operational excellence
Support the development of resilient and agile supply networks capable of responding to global disruptions and market dynamics
Act as interface between the procurement department and the division
Requirements
University degree in business, engineering, or equivalent
Strong project experience in plant engineering (Anlagenbau) and complex capital projects
Six Sigma Green-/Blackbelt beneficial
Several years of experience in supply chain management, ideally in an international industrial environment
Expertise in demand planning, procurement, logistics, and supplier management
Strategic thinking and ability to align supply chain with business objectives
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent English skills; German and additional languages are an advantage
Proficiency in SAP and common SCM tools
Willingness to travel (40%)
