About this role
Role Overview
Provide senior business analysis support to an ERP Financials Transformation program.
Lead the definition, structuring, and documentation of the Target Operating Model (TOM).
Define the capability set and detailed business requirements for the program.
Support the preparation of procurement-related documentation (e.g., RFP inputs, fit/gap analysis, and solution evaluation materials).
Ensure all business inputs are structured, traceable, and suitable for formal procurement and vendor selection processes.
Contribute to ERP tool selection and system integrator procurement activities.
Promote a solution-agnostic and standard-first Target Operating Model aligned with industry best practices and standard ERP capabilities.
Actively challenge existing processes, legacy-driven assumptions, and unnecessary complexity to drive simplification and standardization.
Focus specifically on Accounting and Financial Reporting processes, including:
General Ledger
Accounting mandates
Financial close processes
Reconciliations
Financial reporting activities
Ensure Accounting and Financial Reporting processes are aligned with standard ERP capabilities and market best practices.
Bring strong functional expertise in Accounting and Financial Reporting within ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent enterprise platforms).
Support delivery across programme phases with senior-level business analysis expertise and strong knowledge of ERP standards.
Work under the operational reporting line of the Programme Manager.
Collaborate closely with Stream Leaders, who retain accountability for stream-level decisions and validation.
Requirements
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the role, with significantly higher seniority expected for this assignment (typically 15+ years).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting frameworks.
Extensive experience in business analysis, finance transformation, or ERP-related projects.
Proven experience in ERP-enabled transformation programmes or large-scale business process transformation initiatives (typically 15+ years).
Demonstrated experience in defining and structuring Target Operating Models, business processes, and functional requirements in complex organisational environments.
Proven experience in ERP implementation programmes involving leading enterprise solutions (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), including design, fit-gap analysis, and solution assessment.
Experience supporting ERP selection and/or system integrator procurement, including preparation of use cases, structured business inputs, and evaluation artefacts.
Experience working with multiple stakeholders (business, IT, vendors, external partners) in a structured environment.
Strong expertise in Accounting and Financial Reporting processes, with understanding of end-to-end finance processes and interdependencies.
Excellent knowledge of standard ERP capabilities and market best practices, and ability to align business requirements accordingly.
Understanding of business analysis methodologies, process modelling, and requirements structuring techniques.
Familiarity with structured procurement processes in ERP tool selection and system integrator procurement, ensuring clear, consistent, and traceable documentation.
Strong communication and facilitation skills, including leading workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Ability to produce high-quality documentation (process maps, requirements, analyses, fit-gap assessments) with clarity, consistency, and traceability.
Ability to contribute to structured decision-making by providing clear analysis, options, and trade-offs.
Ability to operate in a controlled and auditable context, ensuring consistency and traceability of all inputs, analysis, and outputs.
Strong communication skills in English.
It would be a plus if you have the following:
15+ years of experience in finance transformation or ERP programmes.
Experience in ERP implementations covering accounting modules (e.g., General Ledger, financial close, and reporting).
Strong understanding of standard ERP capabilities and best market practices.
Experience in financial institutions, public sector organizations, or other regulated environments is considered a strong asset.
