Role Overview
- Supervision and management of a team of Material Controllers, Fleet Mechanics, Drafters and Administrative Associates
- Overseeing the flow and distribution of inventory and supplies
- Maintaining technician work schedules; attendance management
- Providing feedback, training, and coaching to employees
- Evaluating and appraising employee performance
- Interviewing, and gauging the skill level of, potential hires and transfers
- Handling employee grievances consistent with the collective bargaining agreement at the step one level
- Identifying and removing roadblocks to safety and efficient performance by employees; and conducting in-field safety and quality inspections
- Act as single point of contact for virtually all customer escalations
- Resolve customer complaints on behalf of company
- Serve as the organization’s Fleet Manager overseeing all vehicles ensuring compliance with both internal and external policies
- Implement warehouse practices and procedures that improve inventory accuracy, project material accountability and reduce overhead
- Manage the budget used to procure valuable network equipment
- Follow the Business Units Safety Plan completing all required Safety Observations and Competencies in the required timeframe
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA), technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
