Public Health Officer

Role Overview

• Support the delivery of a range of public health priorities across the Norfolk health and care system
• Work within a healthcare commissioning team, reporting to the Public Health Principal for Health & Wellbeing Commissioning
• Contribute to the development and delivery of projects and programmes with a core focus on Stop Smoking provisions
• Support evidence-based decision making by undertaking research, analysing data and insight
• Contribute to needs assessments, service reviews, and evaluations to inform commissioning, strategy, and service improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners across the County Council, Integrated Care System, district councils, and wider stakeholders to embed public health approaches across services
• Support commissioning activity by contributing to the development of service specifications, procurement processes, and contract monitoring

Requirements

• Sound understanding of public health principles
• Passion for improving health and wellbeing
• Experience of working collaboratively with partners
• Managing or contributing to projects
• Interpreting and presenting information clearly to a range of audiences
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
