Role Overview
Define and own the long-term QA strategy for Raw Power Games
Lead, support and develop the existing QA team
Prepare the QA function for Early Access, launch and future projects
Build on the team’s existing processes without introducing unnecessary hierarchy or disruption
Work with production and development leadership to identify quality risks early and establish appropriate testing approaches
Help define how QA should be structured as the studio grows, including the balance between embedded project support and shared studio-wide capabilities
Develop scalable QA processes that can support multiple teams and projects
Shape the strategy for internal testing, external QA partners and outsourced testing support
Ensure appropriate QA coverage for both game development and player-facing tools
Work closely with DevOps and technical specialists to align automation priorities with the wider QA strategy
Support release readiness and help teams make informed decisions around quality, risk and scope
Create an environment where team members feel comfortable raising concerns, sharing feedback and taking ownership
Stay informed about emerging QA practices, technologies and opportunities to improve how quality is managed
Requirements
8+ years of experience in games QA or software quality engineering.
3+ years in a QA leadership role, with experience leading QA teams through at least one release
Extensive professional experience in games quality assurance
Experience mentoring senior QA Engineers and developing future QA leaders
Experience managing and developing an established team
A strong understanding of QA strategy throughout development, release and post-launch support
Experience helping QA teams or organisations scale
Experience working with external QA providers, outsourcing partners or vendors
A clear understanding of the role automation can play within a broader QA strategy
Experience collaborating closely with production, engineering, DevOps and other development disciplines
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
The ability to balance strategic planning with practical involvement
A genuine passion for QA as a long-term discipline within game development
