Understand customer needs and link them to Lactalis product and service strategies to develop mutually beneficial business plans.
Leverage customer and consumer insights to drive fact-based recommendations.
Work closely with broader sales team, sales planning, and other cross-functional partners within the organization to develop and execute strategic initiatives within area of responsibility (EDLP plans, distribution initiatives, optimized assortment, new item launch execution, and more).
Responsible for customer sales and EDLP planning.
Work closely with broader sales team and sales planner in the ongoing management and evaluation of trade spending efficiency.
Utilize and apply learnings from external sales data resources effectively (Scintilla, Circana, etc.).
Leverage our strength as a category leader in the marketplace.
Facilitate supply chain discussions.
Retrieve and analyze syndicated and customer specific customer and consumer data to understand category / industry trends.
Understand and leverage category management principles to influence distribution and share of shelf.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required.
5+ years of sales and sales leadership experience within the food industry required.
Experience with Walmart is strongly preferred.
Experience in direct sales is preferred.
Category Management and/or Omnichannel Marketing experience is a plus.
Industry and Walmart channel knowledge is preferred.
Familiarity with Walmart’s Scintilla system is preferred, or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, accountability, and a demonstrated capacity for leadership growth.
Experience working in an entrepreneurial or high-growth organization is a plus.
