About this role
Role Overview
Process and manage incoming payments by Check, ACH and Bank Wires on a daily basis.
Process write-offs and service charges as requested.
Send emails to the Collections department for allocation instructions.
Send e-mails to staff members for matter numbers.
Research Elite 3E for allocation instructions.
Manage & rename files for electronic document management system, iManage.
Assist with backup per requests.
Assist with different projects as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus.
Knowledge of 3E and/or Enterprise software helpful, but not required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure.
Must be a team player and have interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
Above all, possess the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality to handle sensitive information.
3–5 years of experience in a relevant role.
Experience with Canadian tax requirements is preferred.
Prior experience in accounts receivable or as a legal cashier is preferred, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
Bilingualism in French (written and verbal) is preferred but not required.
