About this role
Role Overview
- Leverage strong technical skills (SQL, R, Python, Tableau/PowerBI) and healthcare industry knowledge to support client-facing engagements.
- Responsible for analytic support and consultancy for HCSC's largest Commercial Clients and advisory for internal senior-leader stakeholders.
- Lead both external client engagements and internal team projects by understanding business problems and working towards end goals.
- Communicate with and present to C-Suite stakeholders to elevate their understanding of plan cost and health drivers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics or related field OR Master’s degree with 4 years of experience OR PhD with 2 years of experience OR 10 years of experience in the related field.
- Expert understanding of and highly proficient at querying healthcare data and related population data (medical/pharmacy claims, behavioral health claims, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Ability to create a dynamic and visually engaging dashboard leveraging data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience leading an analytic initiative to success.
- Performance excellence in presenting to and influencing decision making of C-Suite Executives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
