Senior Accountant – Certified Balance Sheet Accountant

Role Overview

• You will take full responsibility for our finance and accounting function and ensure our numbers are accurate, up-to-date, and reliable at all times.
• As the primary contact for all financial matters, you will provide the foundation for well-informed decision-making in a growing SaaS company.
• Accounting: Independently perform day-to-day accounting (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliations).
• Financial statements: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• Tax & compliance: Prepare VAT advance returns and work closely with tax advisors and auditors.
• Reporting: Support monthly financial reporting and the preparation of KPIs for management and investors.
• Processes: Help design and optimize our finance processes and tools to support company growth.

Requirements

• Completed advanced qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter/Bilanzbuchhalterin (IHK) or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a dynamic corporate or SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to independently prepare financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• Experience with Zoho Books and DATEV (or comparable cloud-based accounting software) and confident use of MS Office / Google Workspace.
• Structured, meticulous, and proactive working style, with discretion in handling confidential information.
• Business-fluent German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
