Analyze financial performance, develop financial models and valuations, and deliver strategic recommendations to privately held business clients.
Support ownership transition, succession planning, ESOP, and equity-based ownership engagements.
Participate in client meetings and collaborate with business owners and leadership teams to address financial, operational, and organizational challenges.
Support buy-side M&A engagements, including financial analysis, due diligence, and transaction-related activities.
Contribute to both assessment and implementation phases of advisory engagements.
Manage multiple concurrent client engagements while ensuring high-quality deliverables and responsiveness.
Collaborate with FMI's Strategy, Compensation, Leadership Development, and Investment Banking teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
Support business development efforts through client relationships, referrals, and ongoing engagement opportunities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
3–5+ years of relevant experience in financial advisory, consulting, investment banking, or public accounting
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
Ability to interpret financial data and translate insights into recommendations
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
High attention to detail and critical thinking skills
Experience with ownership transition planning, ESOPs, or M&A transactions preferred
Prior client-facing experience, ideally with business owners or executive teams preferred
