The Project Developer III is responsible for the collection of information of the design requirements for a building project by interacting with clients to identify project specifications and budgets.
Utilizing programming information, the Developer, Project III produces schematic designs and floor plans that depict the scope of work for facility improvements that meet the requirements of the client.
Identifies construction materials, produces cost estimates for the defined construction work and collaborates with the development team members for the development of scopes of work for all trades required for the implementation of the project.
Responsible for the transfer of project information and ideas to building design consultants as they supervise the production of construction documents.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Project Team, and Subcontractors.
Communicates regularly with all team members regarding project development progress, open and closed tasks and issues.
Participates in customer facing presentations throughout the development process.
Conduct facility walk-thru to identify/verify preliminary scope items.
Prepare a preliminary cost estimate for the general construction Improvement Measures that address customer needs.
Provide facility existing building construction condition descriptions and general construction improvement explanations.
Verify Feasibility cost estimates.
Develop conceptual floor plans and elevation drawings for Presentation to Owner.
Update the development timeline, budget and project development control index.
Develop detailed General Construction Scopes of Work, Specifications and Preliminary Implementation Schedule.
Facilitate subcontractor pre-bid meeting and facility walk-thru with Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer.
Address any Requests for Information on General Construction items.
Receive subcontractor bids and review for completeness.
Finalize costs and access project risk with the Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer.
Build the Final Project Estimate.
Assist the Account Manager with the compilation of the final proposal document and prepare presentation drawings/renderings as necessary for the RFP Response and potential interview.
Participate in project interviews.
Assemble schematic/design development package for transfer to third-party Architects.
Engage third-party consultants for design assistance, contract documents or code review.
Define final project scope and revise Scope of Work Documents to rebid as necessary.
Finalize the Project Estimate.
Assist with the Final Contract preparation.
Participate in final Turnover Meeting with the Development and Operations Teams.
Assist the Regional Operations Manager with the review of Submittals and Shop Drawings.
Support the Project Manager as required during Construction.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or five (10) + years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five (10) or more years of experience performing commercial PV system design and engineering required.
Experience designing grid-connected PV systems; minimum 1MW of development or design experience across ten or more projects required.
Electrical Engineering knowledge and experience required.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Helioscope, and PVsyst required.
Experience with Bluebeam is preferred.
Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes is required.
Knowledge (intermediate to advanced) of various operating systems, software products (e.g. MS Office, etc.).
Knowledge of electrical systems and knowledge of NEC code and constructability of said systems.
Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time/workload.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to write presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence.
Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff.
Ability to prioritize tasks and tactfully negotiate priorities with end users.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
