Behavioral Health Utilization Care Manager

Role Overview

• Authorize initial admitting and do concurrent reviews for medical necessity
• Work with facilities and out-patient providers
• Collaborate with other reviewers regarding changes in patient care
• Monitor care to ensure treatment is appropriate and effective
• Assess member's plan of care and develop, implement, monitor and document utilization

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field
• Independent or associate licensure
• Licensure in Social work, professional counseling or marriage and family
• 3 years clinical experience in counseling, care management, case management, care coordination
• Working knowledge of care management and case management
