About this role
Role Overview
You oversee tax accounting and reporting across multiple jurisdictions (Germany, Romania, Brazil, Lithuania, and Denmark), ensuring IFRS and local compliance, accuracy, and completeness.
You own and continuously improve tax accounting provisions, including effective tax rate analysis, deferred taxes, and financial reporting disclosures.
You ensure the seamless integration of tax processes into month-end and year-end closing activities.
You collaborate closely with the Vodafone Group Tax function to align policies, processes, and reporting standards.
You assess and manage tax compliance and risks, including tax filings, disclosures, uncertain tax positions, and the tax implications of transactions and business developments.
You present key tax matters to senior stakeholders, oversee external tax advisors, support tax audits, and drive improvements in tax controls, processes, and reporting frameworks.
You ensure the accurate translation of local GAAP reporting into IFRS reporting in collaboration with Skaylink and Vodafone Accounting.
You have end-to-end responsibility for IFRS reporting and compliance.
Requirements
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
Minim of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, financial reporting, or international tax in a multinational environment.
Strong knowledge international tax law, plus solid understanding of German corporate law.
Strong experience with IFRS tax accounting, financial close, and reporting processes.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional reporting structures.
Fluency in English and German.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and sound judgment.
Ability to work effectively in international, matrixed environments.
Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex technical topics.
Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Solid understanding of tax risk management and internal controls.
Continuous improvement mindset with interest in technology and automation in finance.
