Role Overview
- Join us as a Legal Counsel Intern to support our Spanish 🇪🇸 and Portuguese 🇵🇹 market operations and help shape Qonto's legal framework in Spain and Portugal, in the Paris or Barcelona office.
- Draft, review, and analyze contractual documentation for new products, such as Pay Later and Tap to Pay.
- Support legal aspects of marketing campaigns, partnerships, and procurement requests for the Spanish and Portuguese market.
- Assist in conducting legal research and providing insights on Spanish and Portuguese regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with external law firms and internal teams to ensure smooth legal operations.
- Participate in product launches to ensure full compliance with Spanish and Portuguese banking law.
- Reply to customer claims and analyze litigation that might affect Qonto.
Requirements
- Education: You have completed your Bachelor's law degree in Spain or Portugal. Ideally, you have exposure to both legal systems through a double degree program, Erasmus exchange, or study abroad experience in the other country.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of both Spanish and Portuguese commercial law and contract law. Familiarity with banking regulations in Iberian markets is highly valued.
- Language Skills: Native or fluent proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese, and English.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear, practical solutions.
- Organization: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
