Role Overview
- Support acquisitions end-to-end: due diligence, NDA review, disclosure schedules, and negotiate purchase agreements
- Business unit support for contracts and legal issues
- Reviewing software license agreements
- Support efforts to establish a presence in new markets
- Assist IT and other shared services with major purchases negotiation
- Assist Senior Legal Counsel with various functions and compliance tools
Requirements
- Law degree and licensed to practice in Ontario
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
- Demonstrated M&A experience
- Experience in negotiating IP/IT software licensing contracts, SaaS, and professional services agreements
- Knowledge of privacy laws and data security practices
- Strong business acumen
