Support the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll operations while delivering a high-level of customer service to employees, agency partners, and internal stakeholders.
Process payroll transactions accurately and timely across multiple payroll frequencies and entities.
Support payroll auditing, balancing, reconciliations, corrections, and reporting activities.
Process employee payroll updates including deductions, tax elections, direct deposit changes, and earnings adjustments.
Respond to payroll-related questions from employees, agency partners, and internal stakeholders through ServiceNow and other communication channels.
Maintain accurate payroll records and support audit and reporting requests.
Assist with year-end payroll activities including reporting and W-2 support.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Requirements
4+ years of experience processing payroll in multi-state and/or high-volume environment with employee populations of 2,000+
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent customer service skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain payroll information clearly and professionally
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Experience processing multi-state payrolls in a high-volume environment
Experience with Workday, ADP SmartCompliance, or related payroll systems
Familiarity with payroll auditing, reporting, and compliance activities
Experience supporting payroll process improvement or system enhancement initiatives.
