Senior Tax Associate – Individual & Business Tax

Role Overview

• Prepare and review complex federal and California tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
• Review returns prepared by peers for accuracy, completeness, and technical soundness
• Provide tax planning and advisory services, including projections, estimated payments, entity-structure analysis, and year-end planning
• Manage IRS and FTB notice response and resolution, including correspondence, transcript review, and representation under power of attorney
• Research federal and multi-state tax questions and document conclusions with authoritative support
• Maintain organized, well-documented workpapers and meet filing deadlines
• Leverage firm technology to work efficiently in a fully paperless environment

Requirements

• Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent credential in good standing required
• 5+ years of recent public accounting tax preparation experience required
• Demonstrated ability to prepare complex individual and business returns required
• Strong working knowledge of federal and California tax law required
• Experience with professional tax software required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
