About this role
Role Overview
Oversees The Carter Center’s assistance to the Federal Ministry of Health on all Health Program activities in Nigeria.
Assists in strategic planning and implementation of TCC-assisted program initiatives in Nigeria while ensuring that the interests and resources are properly represented and managed.
Develops, implements, and regularly reviews security protocols to ensure compliance with organizational standards for safety and security of all staff, assets, and program activities.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a field related to the program area.
Seven years of related experience.
Periodic travel to the United States may be required.
Strong leadership and strategic planning skills to support program execution and organizational objectives.
Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and performance across multiple projects/programs effectively.
Experience leading a data-driven, performance-oriented organization is advantageous.
Proven experience overseeing operations, supply chain and financial management of a country program.
Experience in developing, implementing, and managing security procedures for a country office.
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
Experience collaborating with government agencies, donors, diplomats and other key stakeholders to advance program goals is highly preferred.
Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa and complex operational environments, preferably in international development, or humanitarian settings is preferred.
Experience with Neglected Tropical Diseases such River Blindness or Lymphatic Filariasis is highly desirable.
