About this role
Role Overview
Support a seamless and compliant onboarding process from offer acceptance through first-day orientation.
Manage onboarding activities and maintain HR systems.
Track compliance requirements and coordinate closely with hiring managers, HR, and cross-functional teams.
Uphold Upstream Rehabilitation’s mission, vision, and values while delivering a positive onboarding experience.
Coordinate background checks to ensure completion aligns with start date requirements.
Support I-9 and E-Verify processes, tracking completion and escalating issues to maintain compliance.
Track onboarding progress and ensure timely completion.
Partner with HR teams to maintain new hire information across systems.
Prepare and maintain personnel files in accordance with documentation requirements.
Manage onboarding communications with hiring managers and new hires.
Create and maintain standard reports and tracking logs to support onboarding visibility.
Support updates to onboarding materials, including the Onboarding Manual.
Provide general administrative support to the Onboarding team.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
Working knowledge of employment practices and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized, with the ability to track and coordinate multiple onboarding activities simultaneously.
Customer-focused mindset with a responsive, service-oriented approach.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow established processes and escalate issues appropriately.
Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based HR systems.
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
