You will lead strategic energy procurement and risk management activities in the EMEA region with a focus on the Gypsum and Insulation business units.
In close collaboration with internal stakeholders and regional teams, you develop sourcing strategies, analyze market and regulatory developments, and translate insights into effective procurement decisions.
You manage approved hedging strategies for electricity and natural gas, ensure transparent reporting, and conduct negotiations with suppliers in local and regional markets.
Additionally, you enhance forecasting and cost transparency, identify efficiency opportunities, and support the implementation of energy-saving initiatives across multiple sites.
By combining commercial expertise with a forward-looking mindset, you also play a key role in advancing Knauf’s sustainability and decarbonization agenda.
Requirements
You hold a degree in Energy Management, Energy Supply, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Several years of experience in strategic energy procurement in an international environment and a strong understanding of energy markets, sourcing strategies, risk management, and hedging concepts.
With your analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and entrepreneurial approach, you know how to identify opportunities and create value.
You communicate confidently across cultures, manage stakeholders effectively, and are proficient in MS Office and SAP.
You are fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage. Your profile is rounded out by a self-motivated, collaborative, and solution-oriented working style.
