Role Overview
- Review and process travel expense reports in accordance with company policies
- Reconcile submitted receipts with supporting documentation
- Accurately assign transactions to the appropriate accounts, cost centers, and VAT codes
- Communicate with employees to resolve questions or discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting principles
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc tasks and projects
- Contribute to the optimization and simplification of processes
- Work with accounting tools and internal systems, gaining practical experience
Requirements
- Enrolled student at a university or college in Germany, ideally with a focus on business, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Availability of approximately 20 hours per week (ideally two full days and one half day, with availability on Mondays)
- Proficient with MS Office or G Suite
- Excellent written and spoken English, and German skills at a minimum of B1 level
- Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to identify and analyze discrepancies
- High attention to detail, initiative, and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Interest in financial processes and openness to continuous learning
- Prior experience with accounting software is a plus
