Role Overview
- Manage and motivate claims staff, ensuring workflow, workload, and service levels are met efficiently
- Develop strategies to reduce loss costs and ensure efficient claim processing
- Set and measure performance indicators to ensure accountability and team success
- Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance and minimize complaints
- Oversee, evaluate, and authorize claims, keeping high priority cases closely monitored
- Coach adjusters to meet or exceed service objectives and regulatory standards
- Negotiate claims, achieve favorable outcomes, and minimize expenses
- Foster collaboration within the Claims Department, working closely with staff, supervisors, and managers
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure operational excellence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum 3 years of relevant claims management experience
- IN and/or PA experience desired, IL, TN, or TX experience a plus
- Nonstandard auto insurance experience beneficial
- Strong customer service skills and fast-track claim processing expertise
- Skilled at negotiating with attorneys and pro se litigants
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with technology and coverage/liability analysis
- High level of responsibility, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
