Develop and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Assist the Director of Technical Services and Innovation, and Property Managers with proactive timely resolution of contractor, vendor, and consultant performance issues related to routine maintenance and capital/construction projects
Assist Property Managers in defining and setting performance and quality targets for site maintenance
Complete regular site inspections of properties including plant operations to identify trends and opportunities
Assist Property Managers with the preparation of capital budgets
Liaise with Consultants as required for major capital projects
Identify opportunities for utility savings and improved efficiency
Requirements
Post-secondary degree in construction management, project management, engineering, facility management, quantity surveying or related field
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in project/facilities/construction management
Multi-residential operations or project management experience with a national portfolio would be an asset
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to multi-task
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong command of MS Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Detail-oriented; able to resolve problems using facts, sound reasoning and common sense
Forward thinking with an ability to develop creative strategic solutions to issues
Strong follow-up skills with the ability to effectively resolve difficult issues in a timely manner
Experience with Yardi property management systems and Smartsheet is considered an asset.
