Environmental Project Manager

Role Overview

• Develops and implements comprehensive environmental and sustainability programs in accordance with legal requirements.
• Conduct Environmental Assessments, site audits, inspections.
• Maintain and continuously improve comprehensive emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with local first responders and regulatory agencies.
• Organize and conduct pertinent training programs for employees.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend improvements.
• Ensure that the organization complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of environmental procedures, training sessions, compliance audits, correspondence and prepare reports for management.
• Work with planners and entities concerned with environmental impact to address environmental issues and develop sustainable solutions.
• Foster a workplace culture that prioritizes safety.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science or a related field.
• 5 years previous industry experience in environmental and/or safety work required.
• Willingness to travel, as needed, to support site risk assessments, audits and training.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, data analysis, and engineering principles related to environmental science.
