About this role
Role Overview
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives within the Cell and Gene Therapy market.
Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities with biotechnology companies, academic medical centers, contract research organizations (CROs), contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and healthcare systems.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers, including executives, clinical operations leaders, manufacturing leaders, translational scientists, supply chain leaders, and procurement teams.
Lead complex consultative sales engagements from initial outreach through contract execution and implementation.
Collaborate with internal subject matter experts across Operations, Quality, Medical Affairs, Laboratory Services, Clinical Apheresis, and Process Development to develop customer solutions.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding emerging trends in cell and gene therapy.
Represent the American Red Cross at industry conferences, trade associations, and customer events.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecast opportunities, and provide market intelligence to support strategic planning.
Support expansion of existing customer relationships through cross-selling and strategic account development initiatives.
Contribute to the development of new products, services, and market opportunities based on customer and industry insights.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Minimum 5 years of business development, sales, scientific, clinical, operational, manufacturing, or commercial experience within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, cell therapy, or healthcare industries
Demonstrated success developing customer relationships, managing complex stakeholder engagements, or driving business growth initiatives within the biotechnology, healthcare, or cell and gene therapy industries
Experience working within the cell and gene therapy ecosystem, including biotechnology, academic, clinical, manufacturing, or research environments
Experience engaging executive-level stakeholders and influencing cross-functional decision makers
Ability to travel up to 40%.
