About this role
Role Overview
Grow Nelnet Government Services in SLED market
Create a qualified pipeline and close services-led engagements
Sell consultatively to senior stakeholders across various sectors
Build relationships and develop target-buyer maps
Create, qualify, and advance opportunities for engagements
Lead end-to-end sales cycle from meeting through contracting
Collaborate with internal teams for solution delivery and execution
Represent Nelnet at SLED conferences and industry events
Requirements
5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience
5+ years selling to SLED (state/local/education) organizations
Knowledge of modern software delivery practices and AI technologies
Ability to engage with technical stakeholders and translate AI capabilities
Experience with partner-led public sector motions, specifically Google Public Sector
Proven success selling complex technology services with long sales cycles
Ability to lead end-to-end pursuits
Strong knowledge of SLED procurement approaches
Executive presence and credibility with senior leadership
Forecasting rigor and CRM discipline
Ability to pass required background checks
