About this role
Role Overview
- act as an alternative in-office resource that is available to address HCP questions about patient access
- call directly on HCP offices in their assigned geography to answer questions about patient access & reimbursement in support of AbbVie Immunology products
- provide expertise on coverage and common access and reimbursement challenges affecting AbbVie Immunology products
- educate HCPs on access and reimbursement support tools available from AbbVie
- advise HCPs on patient prescription status and program eligibility
- educate HCP offices on payer processes and procedures
- collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ years of experience in specific therapeutic area with experience in Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access and Reimbursement
- strong understanding and ability to communicate technical elements of coding and billing requirements at the National and Regional level
- comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare and associated reimbursement dynamics
- strong understanding of drug acquisition and dispensing in the specific therapeutic area space (Specialty Pharmacies, Specialty Distributors)
- valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
