Payroll auditing for weekly and/or bi-weekly payrolls as well as off-cycle check runs; provide metrics, trending/analysis for various Payroll processes
Compliance – ensure payroll processes and payments meet federal, state/provincial and local laws and regulations; compile data and report on meal and rest break compliance; Provide reports to Accounting; HR; Tax and Finance monthly and as needed
Payroll system and data uploads/feeds
perform assessments of internal controls and work with Management to increase compliance by developing process improvement ideas; conduct monthly user access audits; maintain multiple holiday calendars within the time tracking system and other similar system related tasks
Union Compliance
monitor, report and ensure monthly union remittance timeliness; track union benefit expense; compile data for labor cost models as needed and compile data requests for union audits
Day to day payroll
Assist with process documentation and with employee payroll file maintenance; loading EIB’s and assisting with day-to-day processing needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, or commensurate experience
7+ years of Payroll experience with emphasis on payroll data auditing
Workday experience strongly preferred
Multi-state full cycle payroll experience in high volume fast paced environment
Canadian and union payroll experience a plus
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
