About this role
Role Overview
As a System Engineer (m/f/d), you operate at the intersection of software development, infrastructure, operations and modern AI-assisted systems.
In a complex and demanding environment, you work closely with software engineers, architects and related specialist roles to design, build and operate reliable, secure and future-proof platforms.
You accompany systems and platforms from conception and design through implementation and operation to documentation.
You work in agile, interdisciplinary teams closely with software engineers, architects, DevOps and security specialists as well as project leads.
You contribute to the analysis, specification and implementation of customer, system, security and operational requirements.
You support the design of end-to-end solutions that tie together software, infrastructure and operational aspects.
You take security and cryptographic requirements into account—for example secure communication, certificates, key management and encryption—as an integral part of system design.
You have an affinity for AI-assisted systems, including deployment, operation and lifecycle management of large language models (LLMs) on-premise.
You support topics such as model hosting, compute resources (CPU/GPU), isolation, data protection and operational safety for AI workloads.
You maintain direct contact with customers and actively support solution development and technical decision-making.
You take responsibility for system stability, performance, scalability and continuous improvement.
