The L Suite is a well-funded startup focused on building community-powered AI tools for in-house legal professionals. As a Legal AI Product Manager, you will leverage your legal expertise to develop and enhance Lloyd, an AI co-pilot, by iterating on features, gathering member feedback, and driving product adoption.
Responsibilities:
- Be User #1: Using your legal background, rapidly test and iterate on new and existing features until you would be proud to release them to your peers
- Build in real time with engineering. No handoff specs and ticket queues. You're in the room and the repo with the team, iterating live. What ships next gets decided in the moment — informed by what members are saying and what's actually broken
- Ship code and design yourself with Claude Code. Prototypes, mocks, small fixes, feature drafts — done by you, not waiting on a queue. Your throughput stacks on top of the team's
- Member feedback → system updates. Run design partner programs and evals. Turn fuzzy feedback into concrete prompt, data, retrieval, and UI changes
- System prompts and response quality. Live inside Lloyd's 40+ pages of system prompts. Diagnose thin responses to root cause. Iterate
- Data — the moat. Relentlessly hunt down knowledge gaps and fill them: member contributions, law firm partnerships, licensed data, original research, event content turned into citable artifacts
- Edge-of-AI awareness. Track what's shipping. Translate every advance into •"what does this unlock for Lloyd?"• Bring concrete proposals — not summaries — back to the build
- GTM. Drive activation, engagement, and adoption through owned channels: the Braintrust, all-member email, design partner amplification
- Marketing and voice. Launch posts, member emails, LinkedIn presence, podcasts. Lloyd's most visible advocate
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of legal experience, ideally spanning big law and in-house
- At an inflection point. Excited to leave a pure legal role for something that's part business, part product, part AI
- Has shipped skills, agents, and workflows. Real, shared artifacts: Claude Skills you've published, GPTs and agents you've put live, workflows and automations you've built, plugins and connectors you've contributed, posts about prompt experiments and evals
- Stays on the cutting edge of AI tech. Active on X, follows and stays current with the top influencers, reflex when a new model or technology drops – 'what does this unlock for us?'
- Strong written voice. Same person writes a tight launch post, a member email, and a feature spec
- High agency, low ego. Runs autonomously on execution. Comfortable with founders deep in the product
- Community mindset. A passion for helping your peer in-house counsel succeed
- Have a public body of work in the legal AI space (LinkedIn, X, blog)
- Participated in a product launch, GTM motion, or community-led growth program
- An AI tool you built is in real use by people who aren't you
