About this role
Role Overview
Assist with the documentation of project designs, including 3D Revit models, physical models, and material or product research.
Support the preparation of interviews, proposals, and design presentations.
Contribute to the development of project documents across all project phases.
Assist with all aspects of the plan check process.
Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and drafting instruction bulletins for changes.
Coordinate with team members and consultants to resolve conflicts or discrepancies.
Participate in firmwide professional development activities and design charettes.
Organize and generate working drawings and prepare complex plans, elevations, and details with supervisory guidance.
Apply building code concepts such as accessibility, occupant loads, exits, fire-rated assemblies, ramps, stairs, and handrails.
Estimate hours for assigned tasks and complete work within agreed-upon budgeted hours.
Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Architectural degree from an accredited university.
Minimum 3 years of Revit experience producing architectural drawings.
Strong understanding of basic construction systems (walls, roofs, doors, windows).
Advanced Revit proficiency, including editing commands, project setup, file management, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of drawing setup, layers, plotting/publishing, dimensions, blocks, attributes, file maintenance, and viewports.
Familiarity with architectural and construction terminology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; asks clarifying questions when needed.
Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and work efficiently.
Working knowledge of firm equipment, software, and documentation systems.
Ability to keep supervisors updated and coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and support staff.
Professional, respectful interaction with clients and team members.
