Accounts Payable Specialist

Role Overview

• Codes all invoices into proper accounts for payment
• Inputs invoices for payment into accounting software
• Audits purchasing cards transactions and identifies issues, discrepancies, errors, etc. and resolves or elevates to management
• Processes expense reimbursements
• Prints various accounts payable reports and maintains accounts payable files and records
• Responds to, researches and resolves vendor inquiries with regard to accounts payable issues
• Reconciles vendor statements
• Prepares analysis of accounts as required
• Assists with monthly financial closings

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some college-level accounting courses preferred
• Minimum 2 years accounting/accounts payable related work experience
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be substituted upon supervisor’s approval
