Employee Relations Advisor

Role Overview

• Provide effective Employee Relations advice to business stakeholders
• Report to an Employee Relations Manager
• Be the first point of contact for general queries relating to policy and procedures
• Provide high quality advice and guidance
• Provide a professional ER case management service
• Ensure managers deal effectively with their people management issues in both informal and formal processes, in areas such as absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, flexible working requests, grievances & performance capability
• Balance best practice with sound business decisions
• Build strong working relationships to persuade and reassure managers on a specific course of action, ensuring all implications are considered

Requirements

• A graduate or Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent
• Ability to build effective relationships across all business levels
• A resilient individual who can manage emotional and distressing situations
• Previous experience of caseload management is advantageous
• A logical thinker with the ability to problem solve, work to changing time frames and reactive situations is essential
• You will need to have a high attention to detail.
• The role is fast-paced and you will need to be able to multi-task.
• Evidence of being proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Word and Excel) and the ability to interpret and analyse numerical/statistical data.
• Proven up to date experience of Employment Law knowledge would be an advantage.
