Provide effective Employee Relations advice to business stakeholders
Report to an Employee Relations Manager
Be the first point of contact for general queries relating to policy and procedures
Provide high quality advice and guidance
Provide a professional ER case management service
Ensure managers deal effectively with their people management issues in both informal and formal processes, in areas such as absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, flexible working requests, grievances & performance capability
Balance best practice with sound business decisions
Build strong working relationships to persuade and reassure managers on a specific course of action, ensuring all implications are considered
Requirements
A graduate or Level 5 CIPD qualified or equivalent
Ability to build effective relationships across all business levels
A resilient individual who can manage emotional and distressing situations
Previous experience of caseload management is advantageous
A logical thinker with the ability to problem solve, work to changing time frames and reactive situations is essential
You will need to have a high attention to detail.
The role is fast-paced and you will need to be able to multi-task.
Evidence of being proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Word and Excel) and the ability to interpret and analyse numerical/statistical data.
Proven up to date experience of Employment Law knowledge would be an advantage.
