Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts
Ensure contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, align with company polies, and mitigate risk
Support the General Counsel on advising internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of SaaS transactions and technology-related contracts
Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, and terminations to comply with labor laws
Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments
Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, providing day-to-day legal advice to various internal stakeholders
Be a key member of the legal team willing to step in and contribute where necessary to accomplish tasks and solve problems
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to and good standing with the Texas state bar
Minimum of 3-6 years of experience as an attorney with a corporate legal department or law firm preferred
Large firm experience a plus
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and other related areas of law
Knowledge of technology law, SaaS industry standards, and employment law would be a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Litigation support through all aspects of a case (preparation, management, mediation, arbitration)
Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver under tight deadlines and energized by the opportunity to solve problems
Experience with a contract management software is a plus
