About this role
Role Overview
- Leads the activities of the clinical nutrition department including the nutritional care of patients.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing nutrition guidelines, initiatives, and operations for Clinical Nutrition
- Promotes nutritional education for diabetic patients through ongoing provider education
- Collaborates with individuals in both the inpatient and outpatient areas to coordinate care of patients across the health care continuum.
Requirements
- Registered Dietician (RD) or Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: WV: Licensed Dietitian through the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians
- Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist through the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education or obtain within one (1) year of hire.
- Five (5) years of management experience in healthcare food service or clinical nutrition management.
