Team Development: Lead the recruitment of a team of Pricing Analysts/Executives and train a motivated team to coordinate pricing strategy and execution.
Stakeholder Management: Chair coordination with Finance to ensure that pricing strategy is reflected in the P&L. Promote a collaborative environment between cross-functions (products, system, finance and key account management teams) that help resolve daily issues.
Weekly Forecasting: Evaluate sales forecast data, generate and present weekly yield forecasts, and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for revenue growth.
Performance Analysis: Monitor the variance between targeted vs. achieved yield and implement corrective pricing actions where necessary.
Yield Strategy: Develop high-quality, simple, but consistent processes to ensure revenue is maximized with a similar pricing strategy for all agents and partners.
Verification & Audit: Lead the systematic audit of Air Waybills (AWB) to ensure shipments are captured at the correct rates and surcharges.
Reprocessing: Manage the team’s workflow for reprocessing incorrectly rated shipments, ensuring revenue recovery and preventing billing disputes.
Root Cause Mitigation: Work with cross-functional teams (CTOs, system, and finance) to identify why rating errors occur and implement system-level fixes.
Surcharge Management: Manage and update all "Other Charges" (Fuel Surcharges, Security, Terminal Handling, etc.) across the network.
Cost-to-Price Synchronization: Monitor underlying cost changes (vendor increases, fuel fluctuations, or regulatory fees) and ensure these are timely adjusted within "Other Charges" to protect net margins.
Ancillary Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities to introduce or optimize service-based charges to enhance total revenue per shipment.
Agile Rate Updates: Oversee a team of Pricing Executives in loading and updating Contractual, Published, and Market rates in the core system with 100% accuracy.
Market Benchmarking: Periodically review and adjust published rates to ensure Teleport remains competitive and aligned with current market demand and capacity shifts.
System Efficiency: Work with finance and tech partners to streamline reporting and develop automated forecasting tools to increase productivity.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in Pricing, Revenue Management, Finance (Airlines/Logistics/Express preferred) and minimum 2 years in managerial level.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of cost structures and how surcharges impact the bottom line.
Data Mastery: Proficiency in Excel and BI tools; ability to manage high-volume data without losing sight of the "big picture."
Leadership: Experience managing a process-driven team under tight deadlines.
Personal Attributes: Commercially minded with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving market and network dynamics.
