Prepare and review complex financial statements for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
Prepare and review income tax returns and BAS across a range of entity types
Provide proactive tax planning support and flag issues early
Train and mentor junior and intermediate accountants, providing guidance to enhance their professional development
Maintain accurate work records in Karbon (our practice management system)
Communicate clearly with the internal team to keep client work moving on time
Stay current on Australian tax law changes and share updates with the team
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, entity structures, and compliance requirements
Confident Xero user
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace
Availability during AEST business hours
Nice to Have: CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification
Experience working with Australian clients or an Australian accounting firm
Familiarity with Karbon practice management software
Proven leadership and team management skills.
