Provides research, administrative, and operational management for Dr. Jomol Mathew’s research portfolio
responsible for pre
and post-award research administration
proposal preparation, sponsored research compliance, principal investigator effort monitoring and certification
budget development and monitoring, procurement coordination
liaison and subject matter expert among Dr. Mathew’s research portfolio, Department of Population Health Sciences Administration, and campus offices
Serves as a key resource to leadership and staff in the unit as well as a liaison to partners and stakeholders
Executes activities related to proposal submission, contract negotiation, and/or award setup on behalf of a unit
Requirements
Recent work experience with a primary focus working in research administration in an academic, government or healthcare setting
Experience leading the process of IRB approvals and effort certification compliance, managing research budget (including ongoing monitoring of the budget)
Experience leading the development and submission of required sponsored research reports, such as NIH research performance progress reports
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, social science is preferred.
