Role Overview
- Lead the transition from a manual, undocumented environment to infrastructure-as-code
- Take ownership of the systems foundation, including Active Directory cleanup and governance
- Manage VMware environment and evaluate hypervisor alternatives
- Maintain standards in physical datacenter operations
- Formally manage a team of three engineers
- Collaborate with SRE and corporate IT teams to understand requirements
Requirements
- 8+ years of infrastructure or systems engineering experience
- hands-on depth in VMware (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter)
- Linux systems administration
- infrastructure automation experience
- managed or led a small technical team
- solid working knowledge of core systems services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP)
- networking fluency a plus
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
