Support client teams in developing and executing public relations initiatives that promote the firm’s legal and professional services clients.
Conduct research and identify news trends; build and maintain media lists; write, send, and follow up on pitches; coordinate interview scheduling.
Develop written materials including press releases and award submissions.
Conduct routine client administrative tasks, including preparing reports, attending conference calls, drafting client communications, and tracking media coverage.
Requirements
Six months to one year education, internship or work experience in PR, journalism or corporate/government communications.
Experience working directly with journalists is preferred but not required.
Curiosity, creativity, and self-motivation.
Knowledge of news and media trends.
Critical thinking and excellent writing skills (must know AP Style).
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Sense of urgency with the ability to multi-task while maintaining a high attention to detail.
