About this role
Role Overview
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.
Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and core accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll accounting, and cash management.
Ensure appropriate revenue recognition, deferrals, billing accuracy, and alignment with customer contracts and recurring revenue models.
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and actionable insights.
Partner with the EVP, Finance on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and key SaaS/operational metrics.
Design, maintain, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, documentation, and audit readiness practices.
Own and optimize accounting systems and workflows, including ERP, billing, payroll, AP, and AR platforms.
Drive automation and process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, HR, RevOps, and other teams to support data integrity and business decision-making.
Manage, coach, and develop accounting team members.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting management experience, including general ledger, close, and financial reporting responsibilities.
Prior experience in SaaS, technology, or solutions-based business models strongly preferred.
Experience in a growth-stage or evolving organization preferred.
Prior experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, including revenue recognition and deferrals.
Experience with financial close processes, audit support, and financial statement preparation.
Ability to interpret and apply accounting treatment to customer contracts and business transactions.
Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or SAP.
Familiarity with integrated financial tools, including billing, AP/AR, and payroll platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across large datasets and multiple systems.
Demonstrated ability to improve workflows, automate processes, and scale financial operations.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts across the organization.
