Developing and supervising the Southern California Litigation Services teams and playing an active role in hiring, assignment, training, and evaluation of the staff
Using Westlaw, Lexis products (including Lexis+ AI, CourtLink and Lex Machina), and other research platforms to provide high-level legal research and analysis with respect to procedural issues across many jurisdictions
Demonstrating an advanced knowledge of applicable court rules and procedures and applying court rules in multiple jurisdictions quickly, efficiently, and in a manner that instills confidence and ensures risk management
Developing a repository of judicial insight, including reviewing transcripts to identify themes relevant to pending matters, compiling case precedent, recent decisions of interest, reversal rates, motion timing analytics, and judicial biography
Preparing procedural road maps in advance of major court filings to flag applicable rules and requirements
Requirements
A J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Current bar admission in the state of the practice office or its main jurisdiction of litigation
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in a Litigation Services role; in lieu of this, a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a litigation associate and/or as a court employee may be considered
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably
