Role Overview
- Purchase and provide order fulfillment activities in support of business demand
- Manage the order status process, ensuring shipping and delivery information is accurate
- Ensure post Purchase Order (PO) placement updates are complete
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure product delivery on time
- Manage non-conforming inventory
- Provide timely communication to planners, sales, and customer operations
- Assist in managing inventory aging and fill rate
- Support group and/or organization key initiatives and objectives
Requirements
- Qualified or part-qualified purchasing professional
- Experience in purchasing, supplier delivery performance, order management, and logistics
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices, and standards
- Problem-solving mindset
- Ready to perform independently
- Good exercise of judgment and discretion.
- Collaboration skills with team members and management
- Having a SIP (Supplier Improvement Process) Purchasing Certification could be considered an advantage.
