Ensure BILH negotiates optimal system-wide contracts from both a cost and quality perspective with a focus on capital equipment
Identify and prioritize both clinical and purchased service contracts to be renegotiated at a system level
Develop and implement BILH contracts to ensure cost-effective and quality-driven equipment and services
Manage vendor relationships, develop contract/relationship performance goals and criteria
Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders, including supply chain, clinical departments, and finance on cost savings initiatives specifically relating to contracting operations
Lead and/or staff multi-disciplinary teams to select/standardize contracting choices that maximize supply chain savings while meeting clinical and operational needs
Conduct and/or staff group meetings to facilitate contract review, trials, and implementation
Evaluate the success of the contract once implemented, reconcile problems between BILH and vendors
Analyze data and provide cost savings reports to leadership on a routine basis
Share information and educate managers and physicians throughout the system to advance others' ability to improve supply chain performance
Build, maintain, and manage strong partnerships with our strategic vendors
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, supply chain management, or a closely related field is preferred; Master’s Degree preferred
Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) certification preferred
Seven (7) years of purchasing, contracting, or materials management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
Five (5) years or more of contract negotiating experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Workday experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills including the ability to plan, organize, and complete work projects in a cross-functional team setting
Results and deadline-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to gain buy-in from employees not directly under his/her span of control
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
